Our client currently has an opening for a Manager, Enterprise Architecture to implement the division’s goals, objectives, strategies in the role of overseeing and measuring delivery of IT services in overall architectural responsibilities in technology and its deployment at enterprise level. This is a 12 month contract position with the possibility of extension.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with outsource service providers in developing / enforcing architectural guidelines and standards
Provide architectural direction in the management of asset life-cycle (refresh) of technology in areas of infrastructure, data/applications, and telecommunications
Collaborate with other BIT stakeholders (e.g. Account Management, Technology Service, Service Management) in the provisioning of IT services to end-user community
Collaborate with IT Security to ensure security requirements are properly addressed
Manage the performance of third-party vendors in the provisioning of reliable IT services from architectural perspective
Adhere to company’s investment framework, and take leadership role in technical / architectural requirement definition and business case development, and collaborate in tendering and negotiation of supply contracts
Manage the financial performance of unit budget in adherence to company’s investment framework
Identify and effect opportunities of improvements in service level and cost savings / rationalization
Manage a multi-year architectural roadmap and collaborate with stakeholders in ensuring conformance with proper risk mitigation
Provide leadership and sponsorship in key organizational projects
Provide architectural directions to direct reports
Manage career development of direct reports with regular performance review / appraisals and training plans
Perform other managerial and administrative duties as required

| Skills Required |
University degree or related studies, or equivalent experience
10+ years experience in IT senior management, with relevant experience in architecture, in an outsourced and multiple vendors environment
Relevant experience in strategic business planning and management
Relevant experience in the governance and the execution of SLA’s with multiple vendors
Relevant experience in financial management and control
Demonstrated experience in understanding and managing software and hardware life-cycle
Experience with project management methodology
Strong organizational and communication skills
Strategic business thinking - ability to apply technical knowledge and experience to make management decisions for achieving business objectives
Ability to lead and work in a multi-team environment and drive completion of deliverables
Ability to assess enterprise risk with proper recommendation on mitigation
Relevant experience in utility sector (preferred)
